Day one - No One Greets You Like the Children of CCLS-U!

After long but uneventful travel to Uganda, we woke up to a lovely breeze and monkeys on the roof of the Sunset Hotel Int'l. Day One in Kawete is always about the children greeting the team with their loving, happy eyes. They run down the street with such excitement, it brings us to tears every time. We are humbled by this out-pouring of pure joy!

The team was treated to this lovely and overwhelming welcome, a tour of the compound and entertainment from all of the classes! There are currently 320+ students attending CCLS-U! Go God!
Following the songs and dancing (yes, the team participated!), we helped serve the children lunch and then enjoyed our own traditional food prepared for us by Sarah, the caretaker of the compound.

The clinic is unpacked and ready for patients to visit tomorrow. The team will be busy engaging the children in activities and participating in classes. We are thrilled and blessed to be here and thank everyone for prayers along the way.
